The last few centuries have seen our mother Earth grappling with mounting pressure towards her resources due to mankind's quest for a better life. This persistent pressure has now compounded into unpredictable and irrevocable changes in our climate conditions and atmosphere. To face this mounting weight, we took huge strides in our efforts to find resources on other planets like Mars.
The project challenge architects who believe in this unseen future and design a self- sustaining living space for initial habitants, a group of 5 researchers of the Red Planet. They are selected to explore Mas to understand its resources for inhabitation and other human resources.

Odyssey of Mars
The project was required to explore issues of spatial typologies and poetics through simple design exercises. We were to propose 2 schemes for a Memorial themed ‘journey for the 5 senses’. The requirement was to to design the Memorials in the form of semi-open architecture by using two contrasting spatial types of your choice (Linear and concentric). There is no specific site for this design work. The story of your Memorial should translate a narrative of the events that happened in the 2000s era and the 2010s era, and it should be informed by precedents studies.
